One of the largest private, non-profit Community Action Agencies in the country, CEDA serves more than 500,000 Cook County residents annually. Thirty programs and services are offered in the areas of children and family services, community and economic development, education, emergency assistance, employment and training, energy conservation and services, health and nutrition, housing and senior services. We are constantly improving and expanding our services to further aid our mission of assisting individuals, families and communities. CEDA has approximately 500 full and part-time employees, dedicated to helping Chicago area residents attain economic self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life.

At CEDA, we want to encourage you to blog about our organization, our services, and your work. The views expressed in this blog are the views and beliefs of the individual contributors and do not necessarily reflect the views of CEDA. CEDA reserves the right to edit and delete questionable content from this site.

Your participation in the CEDA blog is subject to the following Rules:
1. Be honest and fair.
a. Posting of blatantly false or malicious information is prohibited.
b. Do not post any material that is copyrighted unless you are the copyright owner. No articles, art or graphics may be posted without the express written consent of the copyright holder. If you’d like to refer to a news article from another site, please post no more than a few lines summarizing the article and include a link to it.

2. Be respectful.

a. Sexually explicit material, images, stories, cartoons or jokes or links to websites containing or referencing these are inappropriate for the CEDA blog.
